어느 평범한 수요일에 쓴 농사 일기

 

  

백화골에는 장기 여행자들이 많이 찾아옵니다. 스위스에서 IT 관련 일을 했던 다비드도 세계를 여행하고 있는 중입니다. 올해 1월에 집을 떠나 동남아시아, 일본을 거쳐 한국에 왔습니다. 6월 말, 힘쓰는 일이 많은 시절에 다비드는 정말 열심히 백화골의 농사일을 즐겼습니다.

 

 

 

 

 

 

At 100Flowerfarm Wednesday is one of three days per week on which vegetables are harvested and packed to be sent to customers. The day started early to ensure all vegetables can be harvested and packed as fresh as possible. In today’s packages were a rich selection of vegetables.

 

 

백화골 농장에서 수요일은 일주일에 세 번씩 있는 발송일 중 하나이다. 매번 발송일마다 백화골에서는 채소를 수확해서 소포장한 다음 박스에 넣어 회원들에게 보내곤 한다. 농산물 발송하는 날은 모든 채소들을 빠짐없이 수확하고, 가능한 한 신선한 상태에서 포장하기 위해 일찌감치 시작된다.

  

 

We harvested carrots, eggplants, morning glory, salad, cucumbers, cabbage, chili and zucchini. It is stunning to see how these delicious vegetables grow this time and can be harvested regularly. While eating vegetables, I think it’s sometimes barely realized how much hard work it needs until they are ready to be enjoyed on the plate. Nevertheless eating delicious organic vegetables is a pleasure.

 

 

오늘의 꾸러미 상자에는 풍성한 채소들이 담겼다. 우리는 함께 당근, 가지, 공심채, 쌈채소, 오이, 양배추, 고추, 애호박 등을 수확했다. 이 맛있는 채소들이 어떻게 자라고 어떻게 수확되는지 보는 것은 정말 감탄할 만큼 멋진 일이었다. 또한 채소들을 먹으며 나는 이 채소가 내 접시 위에 올라오기까지, 얼마나 많은 힘든 노동이 필요했는지를 간신히 깨닫게 되었다. 그럼에도 불구하고 맛있는 유기농 채소를 먹는 일은 즐거운 일이다.
